Abstract

This work presents a proposal of analysis and reading of the movie Festen (1998) directed by Thomas Vintenberg, from Dogma Group. By analyzing filmic aspects of the movi e and supported by relative notions of game and figuration, we reflected about the form of situation and interaction of places occupied by the components of the family represented in the film. Based on the myth of primitive borde, emphasized on the movie, and convicted that in the familiar texts there is a diversity o f relational games pulsing between the lines, we looked up theoretic support not only in cinema theories, bur also in Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan.
