The recognition of cultural references in the municipality of Pombal-PB: patrimony policies with emphasis on equity education actions

Abstract

Located in the backlands of Paraíba, the municipality of Pombal holds a rich heritage of popular culture of the State, which called and is still draws the attention of the various looks. The observation of social practice and experienced contexts during the Feast of the Rosário shows us how the events are representatives of memory and identity of the place and significant for the community, so it is essential to promote practices that preserve the local culture for future generations. We note in the speech of the subjects, be they part of the local community or visitors, the will that there are measures for the protection and preservation of local culture. Thus, the object of my research is presented in the Professional Masters in Conservation of Cultural Heritage of the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage (Iphan). An analysis of the patrimonial process of cultural expressions of Pombal, above all, the Feast of the Rosario in Pombal. Especially analyzed are initiatives in the field of heritage education, thought as the main action of a patrimonialization process. Thus, this article emphasizes that cultural heritage is not worth for yourself, but participating in a cultural dynamic assignment of values historically constructed, which are the subjects responsible for assigning values.
