Resumo

Este trabalho visa detectar aspectos da história da família na Inglaterra a partir de detalhes sobre padrões familiares encontrados em censos de determinadas localidades, realizados em épocas diversas entre o fim do século XVI e o início do século XIX. São considerados apenas os aspectos relativos aos padrões familiares de populações do passado que se enquadram na estrutura imposta pelo grupo residente no lar - o domicílio.
