Abstract

The text attemps to identify the reasons for the master’s decay in the modern time or the intensity of "depreciation", "demoralization"and "desauthorization"that the masters find themselves into. The master, nostalgically idealized at the present times, turned into a professional succumbed in the current massification of education and in the political authority crisis. "God’s dead", would say Nietzsche, or "Father’s dead", would say Freud. In that case, would be the master a non stoping human experience to revivify father and God? Isn’t that do condemn indefentely the master as an impostor? Is this the moment to admit the master’s real condition contingent and temporary?
