Abstract

Our main purpose in this paper is to develop an ana lysis about a composition of the roman emperor Tiberius Caesar Augustus (14 – 37 AD), a fu ndamental character on the writings of Cornelius Tacitus in the remaining first half of the Annals , underlining some of his most significant historiographic proceedings about Tiberius’ portrayal, regarding th e importance of the relation between Principate and political liberty, narrative composition and his utilization of historical sources.
