Abstract

The text shows the theoretical and reflexive movement performed by the author to define the epistemological place of communication, arguing that as scientific knowledge is constituted as a complex reflection able to provide comprehensive key / explanatory to think about the twenty-first century.

    Doutora em História pela Universidade Federal Fluminense, é professora titular da UFRJ e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação e Cultura da mesma universidade. Presidente da INTERCOM (Gestão 2014-2017), é pesquisadora 1 do CNPq. Publicou, entre outros, História da Comunicação no Brasil (Vozes, 2013).
