Abstract

Would be material for broader reflections, especially based on the proposals of Jean Baudrillard and Giles Lipovetsky, about the representation of money in mentality and cultural practices of the French people. In this article we limit ourselves to indicate, briefly, how the media, particularly TV, are a relevant option for understanding the French case as opposed to other cases, such as the American case, for example.
