"Esquizópolis" expression that intitles this article, was at first created to point out the situation of Salvador, BA, as a divided city, living together with two urban and architetonic feature, as a result of the "polarity" between new city/old city. This concept, here, will be developed for a more extensive reading. This way, it reaches the possibility of dual understanding included in other instances nearest to the mentalites that explain the interpretation made for question of origens and development of modernism in architecture and up to date city planningDownloads
