Abstract

The book “El desafío del desarrollo. Trayectorias de los grandes economistas latinoamericanos del siglo XX” coordinated by Juan Odisio and Marcelo Rougier, published in Santander, Spain, in 2022 by the publishing house of the University of Cantabria and the University of Rosario, Colombia, within its Colección Sociales #72, gathers and displays the intellectual configuration of ten Latin American economists attracted by the problems of development in the region. From a substantial, historical, and intellectual exploration, they show the interweaving of personal reminiscences, professional development, and intellectual evolution of authors concerning the cardinal nucleus of Latin American structuralism.
