Escutando com o corpo: sensibilidade, música e corpo numa cena local de dança do ventre

No presente artigo intento mostrar a intrínseca relação entre a percepção musical e a agência corpórea desenvolvida na prática da dança do ventre, lançando mão de instrumental teórico da etnomusicologia e da antropologia. Em seguida, procuro pensar como a experiência de escuta musical na dança do ventre, que envolve o corpo como um todo, se desenvolve e produz efeitos entre as praticantes da dança. Essas reflexões são precedidas por uma breve ponderação que situa os corpos envolvidos numa cena específica – a cidade de São Paulo – demonstrando em que medida essa localização particulariza o processo da dança em comparação a outros lugares do mundo onde é disseminada.
