An evaluation was made of the relations between the ratings obtained by the schools of Administration in the National Evaluation of Courses and the respective profiles of qualification and commitment of teachers in 2000, 2001 and 2002. Results describe the distribution of the educational institutions based upon the variables of rating achieved, geographic location and administrative category. Statistical correspondence analysis disclosed the association between the top rating "A' and the higher percentages related to professors with a doctorate title and full time commitment. The work concludes with factors that may hinder an improvement of teacher ratings for commitment and qualification. They include the time required for a doctorate title, the asymmetry between the systems of graduation and post graduation in Administration and the remuneration system for class hours as well as exposing the limitations and opportunities for research.Downloads
