Um Homem e o Cinema depicts the development of filmic resources in a physical and direct way, through one of its most skilled operators: Alberto Cavalcanti. And it does so by using his own films for proving it. In Um Homem e o Cinema, found-footage appears as sections/chapters of a monograph that manages to avoid an academic format, in favor of a more essayistic style. It is a film about cinema and a man who lived it intensely and viscerally: Brazilian Alberto Cavalcanti.
