Resumo

Após a morte de William Shakespeare em 1616 e o segundo incêndio de seu teatro – o Globe – as apresentações de suas peças declinaram. Porém, com a inauguração do Drury Lane (teatro que herdou os direitos de suas peças) ocorreu um reavivamento e uma nova geração de diretores artísticos, atores, atrizes, coreógrafos, regentes e compositores se envolveram em suas produções.
Elegemos uma de suas comédias – As You Like It [Como Gostais], e a canção “Blow, blow thou winter winde”, composta por Thomas Augustine Arne, com refrão de William Linley, para narrar e explicar esse momentum.
