Abstract

The Author analyses the Brazilian historical-ideological moment that inspired the promulgation of the CLT. In a comparison with the present Brazilian reality he concludes that the CLT in force is completely outdated. Considering the social, economical and political aspects he positions against the reform of the CLT arguing that they are redundant in face of the present legislation and are not liable to be reformed. He proposes a legislation to support colective negotiations with the condensation of the basic precepts of individual and colective protection in a Workers Statute and separately a group of norms of procedure.
