Abstract

The text points out some relations between tourism, considered here as a social and economic activity, and the goals and outcomes of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development - 1992 (UNCED or also blown as Earth Summit). Based on the concept of sustainable development, some actions and atitudes needed to its implementation and stressed specially for professional people in the tourism sector.
