Abstract

The facing of problematic situations arising from the abuse of alcohol/drugs is a global demand. It is believed that the most health care strategies do not consider the unique needs of females. This study aims to understand the daily living of women, users of psychoactive substances, in treatment at a CAPS-AD; which activities are considered healthy for them, and what relations could be established between it and drug use. Semi-structured individual interviews and group interviews were conducted and submitted to thematic analysis. The results were divided into four areas: 1) Activities that make fell good; 2) Activities that do not make fell good; 3) Routine; 4) Wishes for the future. Incorporating ‘gender’ category on psychoactive substances research enables the recognition and affirmation of individual and collective differences from the socio-cultural constructions of masculinity/femininity in contemporary, contributing to care and policy forms.
