The objective of the study is to present an integrative review on methods of assessment of postural balance in people with reumathoid arthritis (RA). We have searched for randomized and non-randomized clinical trials, cross-sectional studies published in the last two decades in the PubMed, SCOPUS and PEDro platforms about postural balance in RA, written in Portuguese, Spanish or English languages. We included studies which title or abstract had terms mentioned in search strategies. After the article selection process, they were described by author, year of publication, number of participants, objectives, instruments or method used to evaluate postural balance, other evaluations besides postural balance and main results. From 70 studies, we choose 22 studies for analysis. Most of the studies do not present specific tests for the postural control domains, and extra tests are used to evaluate balance. Therefore, a set of assessments that incorporate postural balance control domains can support areas of deficits, being targeted for interventions, and reducing the risk of falls, assisting therapy programs for people with RA
