Abstract

The author relates the relationship that he sees between Bioethics and Legal Medicine. His comprehensive concept of Legal Medicine appoints it's necessity for the builting of Law; this concept amplifies the traditional idea that Legal Medicine is restricted to medical and biological knowledges regarding legal issues (definition of Flaminio Fávero), suggesting a new image of "sciences of life applicated to Law". Concearing Bioethics, the author focuses the attempt of this branch of Ethics to discuss a hierarchy os values referring human life and health. Concluding, the author demonstrates the convergence of Legal Medicine and Bioethics, both contributing to the implantation of a social and legal organization.
