Abstract

Sartrean’s contribution appears among the most original provided
for the Marxism in the Twentieth century. In Search for a method,
book that we will approach in this article, Sartre’s objective is to reconcile
the human freedom and the singularity of the historical event, conquests
of his existentialism, with the historical interpretation of the
Marxist materialism, without bigger traumas for both. What we claim is
just to expose in a succinct way some aspects of this enterprise, pointing
out as Sartre hopes to “save” Marxist Philosophy from degenerating into
an “inhuman anthropology” derived of the dogmatism of which it was a
victim along last century.
