Along the 16th century, the French jurists, partisans of the mos gallicus iura docendi as well as legists commited to the king, gave the technical conditions needed for the constitution of a national juridical order,more adequate to the social and political needs of the French kingdom. This text aims at showing these jurists’ contribution to the elaboration of a new legal and political order, which made possible the consolidation of the modern State.
