Abstract

Education, on its definition from Enlightenment, is related with idea of progress. But, when innovation, based on scientific modern Psychology's conceptions, became a byword, as has happened in Brazil, the past time of education were identified with backwardness and conservantism. On a counscious attempt to contest this attitude, this article proposes a different type of relationship betwen Psychology and Brazilian Education, based on History, and try to discuss their role in the present definition of school's failure.
