Technology in the north equatorial: Yachay in the orange economy

Abstract

Yachay, which in Quechua means to learn and to know, is the city of knowledge of Ecuador. The project starts in 2012 and should be completed in 2040 with the complete Metropolitan Area of ​​Yachay. In the north of the country, on strictly agricultural land, it caused upheavals for the local population that was moved from their lands with the promise of the development of innovation sectors, the creativity of research and entrepreneurship, in a socio-economic perspective in the that the communities, territories and the economy can have their potential expanded, according to the constitution of the country, known as Sumak Kawsay, or Buen Vivir. This article offers initial research results by showing how the Constitution of Ecuador is being developed in that territory, taking into account that the content of the text provides for the State to promote and promote science, technology, arts, ancestral knowledge and in general the activities of the associative, cooperative and private community creative initiative.
