Gibi magazine and the consolidation of the publishing market in Brazil

This article is the result of a research which had as its main purpose to demonstrate the trajectory of the comics editorial production in Brazil in the 20th century. In this period, the transition of the European model to the American one can be noticed in relation to the comics as well as in the adopted publishing formats. The analysis of the comic book Gibi, one the most important titles of the national editorial market, contributes to a better comprehension of the changes in this area.Downloads
