Abstract

Standing up essentially on readings from Rancière and Lyotard, this study aims to evaluate, through the relation of concepts such as “sublime” and “aesthetic state” with Music, the possibility of forming a political sensitivity, and perhaps even a political subject, from disappointment and grief inherent to the aesthetic-political context of modernity. In other words, it want to find a conscience referenced to the distress of utopian and formal ruins whose political act does not refer to social consciousness, but the notion of “sublime gesture” in dialogue with Music, as an event of the undetermined and unrepresentative
