Resumo

Os titanossauros representam o grupo com o maior número de espécies conhecidas entre os saurópodes e também o grupo de dinossauros mais diverso do Cretáceo brasileiro. A grande diversidade atingida pelos titanossauros se deve a diversas adaptações e estratégias evolutivas. Nesta revisão, serão abordadas informações a respeito da história, evolução e também sobre a paleobiologia destes animais congregando as pesquisas mais atuais e relevantes, a fim de fornecer uma base para futuros estudos.
