Abstract

When the University of Brasília was starting his academic activities in 1962, was also set up the Center for Planning (CEPLAN), an unit that has become a basis for work of Oscar Niemeyer in Brasilia and a great center of industrialized construction, a center of technology that would be used by the university. The route adopted for the analysis starts on the redemption of the main projects developed for UNB with the emphasis the project of the Central Institute of Science by architect Oscar Niemeyer. This project still represents the country's access to international discussions in the areas of architecture and education in the field of universities at that time.
