This article aims to analyze the figurations of the lesbian body in writings by Judith Teixeira (1880) and Angélica Freitas (1973), poets whose first works are more than 80 years apart in time. In this sense, we seek to think the ideological formulations around the words “body”, “woman” and “lesbian” present in the poetics of the two writers, considering that even though they are separated by time and by very different cultures, they still reflect the social prohibitions imposed on female homoaffective love and desire.
