The text presents the trajectory of Anna Halprin, an artist who, attentive to the political, social, and cultural movements of her time, breaks with several assumptions established in the field of dance and art, seeking a creative practice that integrates art and life. Thus, following the destabilizations proposed by the artist, the text seeks to recognize and highlight, in Anna’s lifelong work, the celebration of difference and plurality in an artistic practice that, in the refusal of binomials and rigid separations, is woven by threads of performance, healing, private emotions, social and political issues. The text also intends to promote the dissemination of studies by (and about) Anna Halprin in the Brazilian territory.
