Abstract

The author discusses in this article the concept of prevention and its relation to social control. Afterwards, she explains some reflections about the possibilities and limits of educational institutions in dealing with education and prevention on the student's mental health. Using psychoanalytic theory as its reference, the article points to the absolute impossibility of eliminating inner conflicts as well as of creating a prophylaxis of neurosis.
