Tis paper show how YouTube, which emerged as a médium for user participation, has changed when it started being occupied by the entertainment industry, culture (both high brow and low brow) and historical institutions (State and Church, among others). It also debates the current status of medium of the website: to which point do these changes make YouTube a new mass medium.Downloads
