Abstract

The ethnography fieldwork focused the Elos da Diversidade’s members (Secretaria do Estado do Ambiente do Rio de Janeiro), between November 2012 to March 2014, whose goal was a regulatory policy in a specific area at Tijuca National Park (Rio de Janeiro), known as Curva do S. In this place was designed the Espaço Sagrado of Curva do S project in order to reduce the conflicts between religious and Tijuca National Park’s employees motivated by ritual practices to Afro-Brazilian deities. This article aims to reflect about the specific conditions in creating public policy to Afro-Brazilian religion groups based on the dynamics between writing, language characteristic of the state institutions, and the orality, mode of transmission of knowledge par excellence among Afro-Brazilian religious in the creation of the rules of use of Curva do S sacred space
