This paper presents the preliminary results of a larger project for the study of the Egyptian language in Brazil using digital resources. We examined the first stage, Introduction to Classical Egyptian (Middle Egyptian), the first online course for the Egyptian language in Brazil, taking into account the challenging reality of the Egyptological training in the country. Based on the Digital Humanities debate that questions the production and dissemination of knowledge in the human sciences using technological resources, we point out possible ways for the expansion of this project in the Brazilian scenario. In this scope, the discussion about digital platforms and the teaching of Ancient History in Brazil are important elements in the context of this initiative.
