Avaliação das funções corticais superiores em pessoas acometidas por lesão cerebral

This article refers to the understanding of persons with brain injury who may present hemiplegia as an incapable sequela, which may affect motor volunteer acts in the opposite side of the body, problems in the cortical superior functions, disturbances in the emotional and conductal spheres. When the patient is introduced in the rehabilitation process at Divisão de Medicina de Rehabilitação do Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, he is evaluated in the Psychological Assistance in order to investigate the affective-emotional dynamics, intellectual-cognitional performance, deficit of neuropsychological functionns and family dinamics. The interlacement of data permits to delineate a profile of the patient and enables to delimit a pertinent psychological intervention, as much as translate theirs difficulties and efficiences to the team and the relatives.
