The main indications of a Electrodiagnostic examination were listed with their objectives. Guide lines were estabilished according to the pattology of muscles, motor end plates, peripheral nerves, roots and plexus, motor neurons, central neurons system, sphincter, sexual dysfunctions. Criteria for trainning especialized personnel and requiriments for the Electrodiagnostic clinics as medical records, sterilizations, conditions for reusable materials and special medical emergencies were defined. The SBMFR – Clinical Neurophysiology Chapter – is supposed to keep under control their associates and Electrodiagnostic Clinics throught certificates of quality as soon as they follow these guide lines.
